Carnival Cruise Line Vegan, Vegetarian, & Plant-Based Main Dining Room PDF Menus

Carnival Vegan Main Dining Room Menus

Carnival Cruise Line now offers dedicated vegan and vegetarian menus in the main dining rooms, making it easier than ever for plant-based guests to enjoy a variety of flavorful meals each night of the cruise. These menus are available upon request from your dining room staff and change nightly, offering a full selection of appetizers, entrées, and desserts that cater to vegan and vegetarian diets.

Each meal in the main dining room is included in your cruise fare, and the vegan options are part of that same offering—no upcharge is required. While these menus may not be handed out by default, simply let your server know you’d like to see the vegan or vegetarian options, and they’ll provide the most up-to-date version for that evening.

What’s on Carnival’s Vegan and Vegetarian Menus

The featured vegan menus include a wide variety of plant-based appetizers, such as mixed greens, shrimp cocktail made with plant-based alternatives, soups like roasted tomato or cheddar, and salads with dairy-free Caesar dressing. Entrées range from global dishes like Indian curries and black bean enchiladas to plant-based versions of classics like chicken drumettes, linguini pasta, and spaghetti with meatless meatballs.

Each night includes a unique lineup, and Carnival often rotates entrées like roasted vegetable lasagna, tofu steak, vegetable wellington, and vegan takes on American favorites like hamburger steak or chicken parmigiana. These meals are paired with desserts that include fruit-forward options like tropical fruit or sorbet, as well as more indulgent items like chocolate pave or almond cake with seasonal sauces.

How to Request a Vegan or Vegetarian Menu

Menus are not always brought to the table automatically, so it’s best to mention your preference to your waitstaff at the start of your cruise. Carnival has made improvements in recent years to better accommodate dietary restrictions, and the dining team is typically well-trained on vegan and vegetarian offerings.

If you’re traveling with others who are not plant-based, the vegan menu can still be requested separately—there’s no need for the whole table to order from it. The menu is full-service and follows the same schedule as the main dining room dinner, which is offered nightly on all sailings.

Desserts and Daily Variety

One of the biggest improvements to Carnival’s vegan dining is the expanded dessert options. While fresh fruit and sorbet remain available, guests may also find selections like passion fruit parfait, chocolate panna cotta, and almond cake depending on the night.

Since the menu changes every evening, vegan and vegetarian guests can enjoy a new selection of dishes each night without needing to repeat meals. There are typically four to five entrée options and several appetizers, with a dessert menu that includes at least two to three choices.

Vegan Dining Across the Carnival Fleet

These menus are currently available across Carnival’s fleet in the main dining room during dinner service. Some items may also appear in the buffet or specialty venues, but the most consistent way to access plant-based meals is by dining in the MDR. Carnival has stated that they’re continuing to improve menu variety and ingredient labeling fleetwide, especially for guests with dietary restrictions.

If you're planning a Carnival cruise and follow a plant-based or vegetarian diet, you’ll find that the dining room is now a more inclusive and satisfying experience. The rotating menus, international flavors, and updated options make it easy to enjoy your cruise without needing to compromise on food.
