Carnival Rolls Out “Express Dining” Fleetwide in Summer 2026 - Full PDF Menus & FAQs

When sailing with Carnival Cruise Line, the main dining room has long been a central part of the onboard dining experience. Traditionally, dinner in the main dining room is a multi course meal that can take an hour and a half or more, giving guests time to relax and enjoy a full service restaurant style experience at sea. Now, Carnival is introducing a new option designed for guests who prefer a faster pace.

Carnival Express Dining is a new dinner program that is currently being rolled out across the fleet. The concept allows guests to enjoy a multi course main dining room meal in under an hour while still receiving the same freshly prepared dishes and attentive service the cruise line is known for. The program first launched on select ships and is now expanding fleetwide, with full implementation expected by the end of May.

Express Dining is available nightly in the main dining room and is designed for smaller groups of six guests or fewer. It is offered alongside Carnival’s traditional dinner service, allowing guests to choose between the classic relaxed dining experience or a faster paced option that helps free up more time to enjoy entertainment, shows, and activities around the ship.

The service is available to guests who select Your Time Dining and can be chosen directly through the Carnival HUB app. Once selected, guests are served from a streamlined menu that mirrors the main dining room menu but features a smaller selection of dishes designed for faster service.

What You’ll Find on the Menus

The Carnival Express Dining menu features a streamlined selection of appetizers, entrées, and desserts that mirror many of the dishes found on the main dining room dinner menu, but with fewer choices to allow for faster service. Guests may find starters like roasted duck rolls, shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, and roasted tomato soup, followed by entrées such as Szechuan shrimp, Cornish game hen, 12 hour braised short rib, or broiled striploin steak. Steakhouse upgrade options like surf and turf, filet mignon, New York strip steak, and grilled lamb chops are also available for an additional charge. Desserts typically include favorites like cheesecake with strawberry sauce, navel orange cake, and Carnival melting chocolate cake, along with occasional specialty desserts like mile high gelato pie.
